An adrenaline-filled week of ski and electric surfing with Red Bull
In April we headed to the rural mountain region of Northern Sweden for the Unrailistic Invitational, a 4-day ski and snowboard competition that Radinn sponsored at the Åre Ski Resort. Organized by Olympic freestyle skier Jesper Tjäder and Red Bull Sweden, the Invitational welcomed 20 of the best skiers and snowboarders from around Scandinavia to compete on a custom-built terrain park inspired by Jesper’s previous film projects, complete with trampolines, rail loops, and more.
Kicking it with the kingpin of extreme sports
In addition to offering an all-inclusive jetboarding day as one of the competition prizes, we were also able to take the athletes and Red Bull staff out to ride throughout the week.
We towed our Radinn jetboards out onto the icy waters of the Indalsälven river that runs right below the ski mountain using an electric Wattaride motorbike. With their cold-water wetsuits zipped tight and the spirit of adventure in the air, everyone took turns trying out our electric jetboards and discovering the thrill of a Radinn ride.
“Learning was so much easier than I thought it would be. I’ve been using boats, SUPs, and kayaks up and down this river my whole life, so I know it well, but this was something entirely different. You get balance, speed, and the ability to be really playful. Riding on this clear, shallow water—it makes you feel like you're flying.”- David Kanterno, local skiing legend
